Tindersticks have announced their fifteenth album, Dog Roses, out March 12, 2027 via City Slang. The news arrives with the opening track, Loving, Leaving, and the first details of a 2027 tour. The record follows 2024's Soft Tissue.
Dog Roses was produced and recorded by vocalist Stuart Staples, with writing and recording taking place between December 2025 and August 2026. The core line-up remains Earl Harvin on drums, Dan McKinna on bass, David Boulter on keys and Neil Fraser on guitar, joined by Dave Okumu on electric guitar, Julian Siegel on saxophone and longtime collaborator Lucy Wilkins leading strings on two songs.
The band's biggest change was the room itself. After twenty years in the same studio, Tindersticks moved to an underground, hidden space. "A jolt. A place where old methods didn't seem to work and new solutions had to be found," Staples said.
According to him, the album came from a wish to leap forward after the success of the previous record. "With our last album, 2024's Soft Tissue, we felt like we were looking over the fence into a new landscape, maybe even leaning over," he said. "Making 15 albums we have learned that sometimes there are steps forward, sometimes there are leaps. Soft Tissue was a great step, but it was time to try and leap over that fence."
The tracklist runs "Loving, Leaving", "Intimacy", "Wild Sage", "Slow Love", "Flying Cars", "Your Children", "Tell Me About You" and "Dog Roses". The 2027 tour coincides with the release, with multiple nights in Vienna, dates across Europe and shows in May in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Belfast and Dublin, followed by a run in Spain and Portugal in November and December.
