The War on Drugs release their fifth album, I Don't Live Here Anymore, on October 29, 2021, via Atlantic. The record follows 2017's A Deeper Understanding and was produced by Adam Granduciel.

The album keeps the band's expansive guitar rock and synthesizers, with more direct lyrics about love, loss and displacement. Living Proof and the title track, featuring Lucius, preceded the release.

The record was received as one of the band's most cohesive works, with grandiose production and songs that balance introspection and arena anthems.
