Panda Bear, the project of Noah Lennox, has announced the live album PB Band Live 25 at Power Station. The 17-track record arrives December 11 via Domino Documents, Domino's live studio recording series, and the first preview, a live version of “Take Pills,” is out now.
The album was cut last fall at the famed New York studio, in the wake of a tour across the U.K. and Europe. On 2025's Sinister Grift, Lennox mostly operated as a one-man band, playing guitar, bass, keys and drums himself, which required a different setup for the road.
For the tour he recruited Tim Koh on bass, Maria Reis on keyboards and percussion, Tomé Silva on drums and Spirit of the Beehive's Rivka Ravede on samplers. All four also handle backing vocals, and that quintet is what the recordings capture.
The set draws on his solo catalog, from new versions of “Take Pills,” “Tomboy” and “Alsatian Darn” to recent songs such as “Ends Meet,” “Just As Well” and “Ferry Lady.” Since Sinister Grift, Lennox released the joint album A ? of When with Sonic Boom in July and reunited with Animal Collective for a run of shows devoted to their 2005 album Feels.
