Oneohtrix Point Never, the project of Daniel Lopatin, announced his new album, Tranquilizer, on October 20, 2025, with a digital release on November 17 via Warp. Physical editions follow on November 21.
It is the project's first album since 2023's Again. The 15-track record was introduced with three songs: For Residue, Bumpy and Lifeworld, the latter with a video directed by Aidan Zamiri.
The album was partly inspired by an archive of 1990s sample CDs that vanished from the Internet Archive. Lopatin used the material to build textures that blend memory, noise and digital collage.
Tranquilizer was produced by Lopatin and Nathan Salon and recorded in spring and summer 2025. The project also scored Josh Safdie's film Marty Supreme.
