The Novas Frequências festival announces its 12th edition, with performances on December 1, 2, 3 and 11 in Rio de Janeiro. The event has been organized since 2011 by Chico Dub and brings together expanded music and sound art.

The program includes Acta Showcase (Aun Helden, Digestivo, Enco, Ray Castelo and Yan Higa), Bia Marques, Cabaré Brutal, Chang Rodrigues, Claridade, Crizin da Z.O., Dharma Jhaz and MNTH, DiniBoy, Disco Duro, Dusha na Dne, Ece Canli, Elton Panamby, Escola de Mistérios, Flavia Goa and Maum, Glor1a, Iasmin Turbininha, Mondrongo, Municipal K7 Showcase (Atletas, Fantasma do Cerrado and Fordmastiff), Peroli, Powerpuff Girlsound, Seht and White Prata.

Performances take place at Rato Branko, Mercado Central, Refresco, Vivian Caccuri's studio at Fábrica Bhering and Solar dos Abacaxis. The organizers regret the lack of funding for this edition and call on the public to contribute by buying tickets.

International names include Turkey's Ece Canli and the UK's Glor1a, alongside Brazilian artists. Tickets are on sale through Shotgun.
