British rapper Little Simz announced her sixth studio album, Lotus, on February 26, 2025, with a release date of June 6 via AWAL. The record follows 2022's No Thank You.

The first taste is Flood, featuring Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly. The black-and-white video was directed by filmmaker Salomon Ligthelm.

Lotus was written during a period of personal and legal turmoil, including a lawsuit against producer Inflo. The artist described the album as a way of reclaiming her story and her music.

In June, Little Simz also takes over as curator of the Meltdown Festival at London's Southbank Centre.
