Japanese Breakfast, the project of Michelle Zauner, releases her third album, Jubilee, on June 4, 2021, via Dead Oceans. The record follows 2017's Soft Sounds from Another Planet.

Jubilee leans on synth-pop, bright guitars and string arrangements, with lyrics seeking joy and pleasure even amid uncertainty. Be Sweet and Slide Tackle preceded the release.

The album was received as one of Zauner's most accessible and ambitious works, with more open production and songs that balance optimism and melancholy.
