London singer-songwriter Heartworms, the project of Jojo Orme, released the single Guess I'm Stuck In The Dark on Monday (26). The track is the first taste of her second album, the follow-up to 2025's Glutton for Punishment.

The song pairs indie noir with a disco pulse, produced by Dan Carey. According to Orme, the lyrics grew out of a power cut during a writing session and explore the insecurity of being in the dark, mixing fear and humor.

The new album has already been recorded and is being finalized, with a release date yet to be announced. The artist described the material as songs moving through uncertainty and dark humor, without a fixed character.

Before the album, Heartworms plays an intimate show at the Windmill in Brixton, London, on Wednesday (28), and appears at Dark Arts Festival in Leeds on October 31 and Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavik on November 7. She then supports Interpol and Bloc Party on their European tour, starting in Berlin on November 11.
