Floating Points and saxophonist Pharoah Sanders release the album Promises on March 26, 2021, via Luaka Bop, with the London Symphony Orchestra. The record is a collaboration between producer Sam Shepherd, the legendary jazz saxophonist and the orchestra.

The work is structured as a continuous nine-movement suite of about 46 minutes, with harp, strings, saxophone and electronics intertwined. The composition avoids conventional solos and leans on repetition and slow variation.

Promises was received as one of the year's most unlikely and successful meetings, joining spiritual jazz, minimalist music and contemporary electronic production.
