British producer Djrum announced his third album, Under Tangled Silence, on February 26, 2025, with a release date of April 25 via Houndstooth. It is his first album in more than six years, following 2018's Portrait With Firewood.

The first taste is A Tune for Us, followed by Three Foxes Chasing Each Other and Waxcap. The album pairs improvised piano, harp, mbira and complex drum programming, the signature of Felix Manuel's work.

The record was written and produced between 2017 and 2023. According to the producer, the project was nearly lost in a hard drive failure and was rebuilt gradually, with a line from poet Patti Smith as a guiding influence.

The announcement came with a seven-date tour beginning in Madrid on March 8, with more shows to be confirmed.
