Deafheaven release their fourth album, Infinite Granite, on August 20, 2021, via Sargent House. The record marks a radical shift from their previous work, with clean vocals and a sound close to shoegaze.

It was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen, and the tracks trade black metal intensity for layers of guitar, synthesizers and suspended melodies. Great Mass of Color and Shellstar opened the rollout.

Infinite Granite divided fans but was received by critics as one of the band's most courageous works, willing to abandon the formula that made them known.
