British producer Blawan announced his second studio album, SickElixir, on September 2, 2025, with a release date of October 10 via XL Recordings. The record follows 2018's Wet Will Always Dry.

The first taste is NOS. The 14-track album was described as one of the artist's most personal works, exploring grief, family trauma and profound life changes.

SickElixir was produced between Berlin, Leeds, Paris and Lisbon. Its sound mixes techno, metal and industrial hip-hop, with irregular beats and processed vocals.

In the preceding years, Blawan released a trilogy of EPs on XL, including BouQ and Dismantled Into Juice, which set the stage for the new album.
