Björk releases her 10th album, Fossora, on September 30, 2022, via One Little Independent. The record follows 2017's Utopia and was made during a period of isolation and grief over the death of the artist's mother.

Fossora has 13 tracks and combines clarinets, choir, strings and gabber beats. The lyrics deal with fungi, death, motherhood and matriarchy, mixing vulnerability and strength.

Atopos, Ovule and Ancestress preceded the release. The album was received as one of Björk's heaviest and most emotional works, without abandoning the experimentalism that defines her career.
