Claudette Soares was born on October 31, 1935, in Rio de Janeiro. A singer, she became one of the voices of bossa nova and MPB.

Her career moved through radio, festivals and a discography that spans decades, always with repertoire by Brazilian songwriters.

The date marks the birthday of a performer who still plays live and keeps the bossa repertoire alive.
