On October 31, 1986, Roxette released Pearls of Passion, their debut album. The Swedish duo of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle began a pop trajectory there.

The record established the sound that would take the group to international charts in the following years.

The date marks the release of a work that came before the duo's biggest commercial phase.
