Robert Gérard Goulet died on October 30, 2007. The American singer and actor, born in 1933, built a career that spanned almost six decades across theatre, film, television and records.

Goulet was cast as Sir Lancelot in the original 1960 Broadway production of Camelot, starring opposite Richard Burton and Julie Andrews. His performance of If Ever I Would Leave You, which became his signature song, brought him instant recognition.

A Tony and Grammy Award winner, he also starred in a 1966 television version of Brigadoon, a production that won five primetime Emmy Awards.
