On May 8, 2026, KF released Daqui a incontáveis eras, ainda estarei aqui, a 21-track album running 1 hour 21 minutes. It followed Para alguém, algum dia no futuro, from July 18, 2025, and was followed by O Fim da Velho Oeste Town, on September 18, 2026, with two tracks, and the single Lugar Escuro, with Akami, on October 16, 2026. It is the artist's largest and most ambitious release so far.
Scale is the message. Where earlier releases worked as standalone short stories, the 2026 album turns Velho Oeste Town into structure. The town stops being a backdrop and starts organising time, characters and the length of the record itself. With 21 tracks, KF moves closer to the serial novel, a format Brazilian rap rarely attempts at this length.
The chronology helps read the project. O Conto de Maria, from April 16, 2021, introduced the territory; O Conto de Maria 2, from October 4, 2024, picked up the original thread. The album title works as a declaration of permanence rather than a simple sequel. It is the artist saying the universe outlives the release.
The risk matches the ambition. One hour and 21 minutes demand a kind of attention streaming rarely offers, and the long sequence can dilute the impact of the strongest chapters. The following release, titled O Fim da Velho Oeste Town, announces a closure the album does not quite deliver. Listeners expecting a clear ending may come away feeling the story was interrupted rather than concluded.
Even so, the record is the right move for an artist who built everything alone, from the phone microphone to the imaginary town. KF is not trying to compete in the market of fast singles. He is betting on the memory of those who have followed the saga since 2021. Lugar Escuro, short and released after the album, works as a possible epilogue but not as a full stop. Perhaps that is the point.
